Before undergoing the LAP-BAND(R) procedure at an AIGB
surgical center, Kristen had tried everything from diets, calorie counting, weight doctors, pills, hypnotherapy, starvation, excessive exercise, and more, in a never- ending attempt to take control of her weight.
The Lap-Band[R] procedure, and the extensive pre- and post-op care management practices that AIGB has pioneered, are part of the solution to the obesity epidemic and to rising healthcare costs in the United States.
Wecker added that he has asked Peter Gottlieb, a co-founder of AIGB and its CEO from 2003 to 2006, to serve another term on the Board of Directors and to act as a special advisor to the company.
Prior to joining AIGB, Wecker spent seven years managing healthcare investments for Sankaty Advisors.
