Teams from both companies have mutually agreed on a SHE training plan to meet ALUPCO's health and safety expectations at the workplace and cover topics such as permit to work and risk assessment, industrial hygiene, firefighting practices as well as environment protection.
The region's leading aluminium extrusion company is also looking at expanding its total manufacturing capacity to over 100,000 tonnes per year (tpy) from its current 85,000 mtpy, a spokesperson for Alupco told Gulf Industry.

The workshops were an initiative of Alba's marketing department to enhance its existing business relations with Alupco through providing extra value complementing the technical support it gives the Saudi firm.
The first in the series of workshops conducted by Alba's team was a safety training workshop titled 'Incident Investigation Course', which was well appreciated by Alupco's management, an Alba statement said.
"For Jeddah we have serious plans to add two presses, a wood finish line and a thermal break line," said Saad Tahsin Al Waheb, Alupco's marketing supervisor.
On completion of the expansion, Alupco Jeddah will have capacity of 55,000 tonnes per year.
"Alupco is proud to have increased total export sales by 5 per cent during the year and local sales by an impressive 7 per cent despite the market being very tough in Q4 because of the economic situation globally and the drop in oil prices as well as some projects having slowed down," said executive sales manager Mohammed Al Enezi.
As well as its Dammam plant, Alupco has a manufacturing facility in Jeddah with capacity of around 45,000 tonnes.
