. Dedicated in June 2016 at the Swanson School, the ANSYS AMRL
is an additive manufacturing lab equipped with some of the most advanced additive manufacturing devices that utilize metals, alloys, polymers, and other materials to print components for nearly every industry.
Organism identification was reconfirmed using automated systems (VITEK 2 (bio-Merieux, France) and/or Matrix-Assisted Laser Desorption Ionization-Time of Flight Mass Spectrometry (MALDI-ToF, Bruker Daltonik GmbH, Germany), and antimicrobial susceptibility testing (AST) was done using the MicroScan Walkaway system (Siemens, USA) at the AMRL. For molecular methods, DNA was extracted from purity plates using a crude boiling method at 95[degrees]C for 25 minutes.
