Responding, President of APWEN, Awka Chapter, Mrs Maryjane Okoli, extolled the sterling qualities of Ifejiofor in the engineering sector that earned him a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers.
However, Okoli said that APWEN would be soliciting for sponsorship and collaboration with individuals and organisations in order to achieve its aims, is an NGO with the sole aim of membership advancement.

According to the APWEN president, less than 13 per cent of women study sciences globally while in Nigeria, less than 11 per cent embrace science-based courses.
He reiterated the commitment of the ministry to collaborate with scientists and other professionals, including (APWEN) to move the country forward.
