National Landscape Architecture Month provides a great opportunity for
ASLA members to introduce landscape architecture to students in their communities," said Pat Caughey, FASLA,

ASLA further strengthens ACE's mission, which is to introduce students to all aspects of the design and building professions.
The Outstanding Service Award was created in 2013 to in order to recognize the valuable contributions and lasting impact of volunteers whose work benefits the
ASLA and its members.
Ann McGinnes,
ASLA, of Garland, Texas, said that she expects to see more requests from commercial clients for "non-traditional" means of irrigating the landscape and a focus on better management of water resources.
Landscape architects apply creative and technical skills and knowledge to "the planned arrangement of natural and constructed elements on the land with concern for the stewardship and conservation of natural, constructed and human resources," according to the
ASLA.
The
ASLA was founded with the central purpose of identifying and promoting only the most outstanding legal talent throughout the country.
