This year's AURC conference will be held under the theme "Borders, Boundaries, and Identities: Tackling New Global Challenges." Students from Qatar and around the world will present their research papers on a wide range of global issues, including the changing dynamics in the Gulf, plurality of national identity, sovereignty and borders, a historical analysis of the evolution of religion, America and the politics of contestation, and the new economic challenges in Asia.
"As the board brainstormed themes for this year's conference, we wanted to make sure we chose a theme that is relevant to the worldwide events occurring today," explained AURC president, Sara Al Haj Abed, a junior majoring in International Politics at GU-Q.
where SE is the static effort; AURC is the area under real curve; AUIC is the area under ideal curve; [AURC.sub.4-24] is calculated in the time window 4-24 seconds excluding the initial transient period 0-4 seconds.
The SEs of AURC on our databases computed using the nonparametric two-sample bootstrap with the i.i.d.
The research was carried out by applying the Chebyshev's inequality to the two metrics: the AURC and the TAR at a specified FAR.

Area under the curve models were constructed using the area under the percentage defoliation curve (AUDC) or area under the percentage reflectance curve (AURC; 810 nm) (AURC) as separate independent variables, and area under the dry weight curve (AUDW), area under the PGLAI curve (AUCPGLAI), area under the secondary leaves curve (AUCSGLAI), area under the leaf-to-stem ratio curve (AUCLSR), or area under the GLAI curve (AUCGLAI), as separate dependent variables.
Our results demonstrate that AURC can explain more of the variation in area under the dry weight, PGLAI, SGLAI, and GLAI curves than using the AUDC.
