KARACHI -- The Aga Khan University Medical College's Class of 1999 has donated US$ 350,000 for an Endowment Fund for child care, allowing the Aga Khan University Hospital to provide financial assistance and support to needy children from semi-urban and rural communities in Pakistan.
By this time, only one public sector medical institution, Dow University of Medical Sciences; and several private sector colleges including The Aga Khan University Medical College, Zia-ud-din Medical University, Shifa College of Medicine, Foundation University Medical College and International Islamic Medical College, have made efforts to introduce integrated curriculum in medical education with variable success.
