Trial mining was successfully undertaken in 2017/2018 with ore from the trial mine taken to AGAA's Sunrise Dam Gold Mine processing plant and this current study evaluates the financial and technical viability of mining the remainder and larger part of the gold deposit (Stage 2) using a conventional open pit operation.
Matsa is currently evaluating its processing options for the treatment of ore and has had discussions as part of its ongoing relationship with AGAA. Treatment costs used in the mining study fall within the range currently being negotiated in commercial confidence and are in line with the Stage 1 trial mining and the Red Dog gold mine.
