Among other duties, the ISR's director provides headquarters oversight for the Air Intelligence Agency (AIA).
Meeting these objectives is very difficult in austere times, but the Air Intelligence Agency has created the Air Force Information Warfare Center (AFIWC) to fill these needs and prepare to fully support the combat commanders wherever the need arises.
