Merck, on 27 March 2013, had announced that the FDA had also accepted the BLA for its investigational Timothy grass pollen (Phleum pratense) sublingual allergy immunotherapy tablet. The company has partnered with ALK-Abello to develop its sublingual allergy immunotherapy tablets for ragweed pollen, timothy grass pollen and house dust mite in North America.
7 November 2011 - ALK-Abello A/S (CPH:ALK B) said on Monday that its US partner Merck (NYSE:MRK) has presented data from two pivotal clinical Phase III studies with its investigational sublingual Ragweed Allergy Immunotherapy Tablet (AIT), which met the combined primary efficacy endpoint of reducing allergy symptoms and use of concomitant symptom relieving medication.
In February 2016, MSD submitted the BLA for a tablet against HDM allergy to the US FDA under its partnership with ALK, which covers the development, registration and commercialisation of a portfolio of allergy immunotherapy tablets in North America.
This partnership covers the development, registration and commercialisation of two sublingual allergy immunotherapy tablets for Japan.
