Appointed in 2009, awardwinning architects, Allford Hall Monaghan Morris (AHMM) have played a leading role in the theatre's renovation since winning an international competition to create and deliver a vision for the theatre to ensure its future as a performance venue.

The architects are Allford Hall Monaghan Morris (AHMM); a firm founded in 1989 and ranked by the Architects' Journal as the most successful practice of its generation.

Architects at Allford Hall Monaghan Morris came up with a design for a four-star hotel and residential building with associated conference centre, retail space and health spa and sports club.
