As the proposed inverse method in Figure 4 can be used to determine a unique stress-strain curve for a given nanoindentation load-depth curve, the average phase
properties of a multiphase material can now be obtained by averaging the multiple stress-strain curves obtained from the corresponding nanoindentation load-depth curves.
