The MoU was signed on Friday at
BISP HQs in the presence of Chairperson
BISP MNA Marvi Memon, Minister for State for Communications M.
Expressing her pleasure, Chairperson
BISP hoped that this partnership will lead to further strengthening of bond between
BISP and its beneficiaries.
This research is being done under the Letter of Understanding (LOU) signed between WFP,
BISP and Punjab Health Department to build evidence base of different nutrition sensitive mechanisms that can contribute to the reduction of chronic malnutrition amongst under 2 years of age children in Pakistan.
According to the Secretary of the Programme Omar Hamid Khan,
BISP is also set to launch several new initiatives to support the poverty stricken women of the country.
As per the agreement, initially 100 mentally challenged
BISP's beneficiary children will be added into the support net of NDF.
The MOU was signed today at
BISP HQs in the presence of Chairperson
BISP MNA Marvi Memon, Minister of State for Communications M.
The MOU will also set a framework for the development of synergies between the parties to benefit the beneficiaries of
BISP across the country.
During her welcome note, Chairperson
BISP gave guidelines on the agenda items and shared various achievements of the organization.
