The variable number of bites/swallowed cud and number of bites/minute (BITM) increased linearly (p < 0.05), whereas the number of bites/day showed quadratic behavior (p < 0.05) with peak at glycerin inclusion of 8.2%, resulting in 22,440.7 bites/day, respectively (Table 4).
