The school is located within the CAFUC
campus in Guanghan, Sichuan Province and trains 700 to 800 students each year.
CAFUC will be using new A320 flight training equipment for the expansion of its instructional programme for Ab-Initio training and to service China's airlines type rating needs.
The equipment will be delivered and installed at CAFUC's facility in Guanghan City in the Sichuan province of China.
China Southern said that the 100 pilot trainees under its programme would study at the CAFUC
for two years, including 18 months of flight training to get a licence.
Eurocopter s donation continues the company s close relationship with the CAFUC, which has resulted in their long-term strategy to create a pool of qualified helicopter technicians capable of filling jobs in China s expanding general aviation sector.
This includes a train the trainer scheme with Eurocopter educating CAFUC instructors in both China and at the company s training academy in Germany, allowing the university s personnel to be certified at the highest international standards.
