Founded in July 1988, CCCME
is the only national chamber for international trade in the machinery and electronics sector of China.
As the core part of three major matching activities for CHTF 2007, the China-US High-tech Forum 2007 sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of China and organized together by CCCME and USITO was held on October 12, 2007.
In May 2007, China's Vice Premier Wu Yi visited the US for the Second SINO-US Strategic Economic Dialogue, followed by a series of measures adopted by China to balance SINO-US bilateral trade, including but not limited to a business delegation organized by CCCME in May 2007, which purchased US products worthy of USD 30 billion.
The program of events included a signing ceremony between various US and Chinese Companies from the high-tech industry and remarks given by representatives of the People's Republic of China's Ministry of Commerce, the City of San Francisco, the China Consulate of San Francisco, CCCME
, USITO, and the State of California as well as the Hi-Tech Cooperation Forum.
The MOU provides for the CCCME
, on behalf of Chinese TV manufacturers and Tri-Vision, to hold negotiations with a view to concluding a definitive agreement for the licensing of Tri-Vision's V- chip technology to Chinese TV manufacturers for products sold in Canada and the United States.
