"Phlebotomy is only one part of the high school curriculum," says CCCTC Health Academy Instructor Cheryl Buoni.
"We are extremely fortunate to be able to offer phlebotomy certification to qualifying students," says Karen Taylor, the director/assistant superintendent of CCCTC. "Buoni's expertise and training in the field is a real benefit to the health academy students, and her dedication in creating hands-on opportunities through which students can meet the venipuncture requirements is only one of the ways that she goes above and beyond in helping her students to achieve at high levels."
Approximately 25 students enter CCCTC's health academy program in their junior year of high school.
