In summer 2017, an earlier report by CCERA - Branching Out: A New Ambition for Woodland Policies in Wales - urged the Welsh Government to address the constraints on the productive forestry sector by: | Supporting the creation of productive coniferous woodland on both public and private land; | Promoting the commercial and other benefits of planting to the farming community; and | Providing and promoting training in forestry, woodland management and woodland planning.
