Enrolled participants met the following inclusion and exclusion criteria: (a) met the diagnostic criteria for schizophrenia according to the Chinese Classification of Mental Disorders, 3rd edition (CCMD3), [10] (b) 18 to 60 years of age, (c) had a middle school education or higher, (d) had relatively stable symptoms (Brief Psychiatric Rating Scale [BPRS] [11] score < 30), (e) had no severe physical diseases, and (f) provided written informed consent (signed by the participant and the guardian).
