Commenting on the paper, CEEMET director general Uwe Combuchen, who represents more than 200,000 manufacturers across Europe, said: "The analysis confirms our concern about the implications of Brexit not just for Britain, but other countries in the EU.
Speaking at an EEF reception for MEPs at the British Ambassador's residence in Brussels, Terry Scuoler, chief executive of EEF and chairman of Ceemet, the European industry association, told MEPs from all parties that a revised focus on industry is the key to the EU's long-term economic success.
Scuoler is to chair Ceemet, the organisation that represents manufacturers within Europe some 230,000 companies employing around 20 million people.
Staunchly pro-Europe and a passionate advocate of manufacturing, Scuoler is seemingly a natural choice to lead the interests of the engineering industry in the 24 out of 28 European Union member states that Ceemet encompasses.
The EEF has campaigned for Britain to remain part of the European Union for a long time, making Scuoler and Ceemet a natural fit.
He took over as chairman of CEEMET officially on 3rd July and will lead the organisation in its discussions with officials at the Commission and Parliament.
His first role is to launch CEEMET's European Roadmap at a reception with new MEPs in Strasbourg.
