New Delhi [India], November 15 ( ANI ): Nomura, Asia's global investment bank, on Wednesday hosted a demo day for start-ups chosen as part of the 'Voyager - Nomura FinTech Partnership' programme in India that was launched earlier this year with the aim to build innovative solutions for Capital Markets and Investment Banking (CMIB) that can be deployed across the firm and financial services industry.
As part of DoD's goal to achieve an effective and efficient supply chain, the network of munitions storage locations throughout the military shifted emphasis from a company- or an installation-only focus to a more adaptive supply chain with integrated command and control throughout the entire Conventional Munitions Industrial Base (CMIB) of commercial and government organizations.
In this research, I assessed the SCM maturity level of the Crane Army Ammunition Activity (CAAA), a key organization within the CMIB. Located in central Indiana, this manufacturing and storage activity manufactures, stores, and provides conventional munitions to warfighters.
Although this research focused upon the CMIB, similar SCM3 assessments conducted in other Defense Industrial Base organizations should yield similar results.
According to the report, global CMIB industry revenues declined once again in 2014 to $239 billion, down three per cent from $246 billion in 2013 and down 12 per cent from $271 billion in 2010, as cyclical and structural headwinds continued to pressure the top line.
Return on equity (ROE) in the CMIB industry continued to fall in 2014, to seven per cent, from 11 per cent in 2013 and 12 per cent in 2012.
Some CMIB firms see the handwriting on the wall and are implementing measures to stay ahead of the curve.
