El contenido de magnesio intercambiable en los suelos estudiados vario entre 0.35 [+ o -] 0.16 y 6.71 [+ o -] 0.08 cmol [kg.sup.-1].
The government then awarded the contract to develop the CMOL to the state-run Philippine National Oil Co.
The only time the EM only DSM outperformed the [gamma]-ray and EM DSM was for pH (0.902) and CEC (29.15 [(cmol (+)/kg).sup.2]), with the [gamma]-ray only derived DSM never out-predicting the [gamma]-ray and EM DSM.

"We are always trying to take a look at how we can develop that [area], but we have to ensure the safety of the [Malampaya] gas operations because [the CMOL project] stands in the middle of the gas operations.
It had an available P content of 9.8 ppm and an exchangeable K content of 0.35 cmol [kg.sup.-1] (Table 1).
Also, the Mg concentration in this field was high at 1.08 cmol [kg.sup.-1] which could explain the high contribution of Mg distribution to crop yield variation.
Water analysis was performed by the Laboratory of Irrigation and Salinity (LIS) of the Center of Technology and Natural Resources of the Federal University of Campina Grande - UFCG and presented the following chemical characteristics: electrical conductivity of 0.8 dS/m; pH = 7.53; Ca= 2.30 [cmol.sub.c] [dm.sup.-3]; Mg = 1.56 [cmol.sub.c] [dm.sup.-3]; Na = 4.00 [cmol.sub.c] [dm.sup.-3]; K = 0.02 [cmol.sub.c] [dm.sup.-3]; Chloride= 3.90 [cmol.sub.c] [dm.sup.-3]; Carbonate = 0.57 cmol [dm.sup.-3]; Bicarbonate = 3.85 cmol [dm.sup.-3]; RAS = 2.88 [([mmol.sub.c] [l.sup.-l]).sup.l/2] and Richards Classification (1954) with [C.sub.3][S.sub.1 ].
Antes da instalacao do experimento, amostra do solo usado no preparo dos substratos foi enviada para analise quimica, no Laboratorio de Analise de Solo, Agua e Planta do IFPB-Sousa, cujos resultados foram: pH (agua 1:2,5) = 6,50; P = 89,17 mg [dm.sup.-3] ; K = 0,26 [cmol.sub.c] [dm.sup.-3]; Ca = 4,80 [cmol.sub.c] [dm.sup.-3]; Mg = 1,50 [cmol.sub.c] [dm.sup.-3]; Na = 0,08 cmol [dm.sup.-3]; Al = 0,00 [cmol.sub.c] [dm.sup.-3]; H+A1 = 1,3 [cmol.sub.c] [dm.sup.-3]; SB = 6,64 [cmol.sub.c] [dm.sup.-3]; CTC = 7,94 [cmol.sub.c] [dm.sup.-3]; V = 83,63%; MO = 4,65 g [kg.sup.-1] e CE = 0,04 dS [m.sup.-1].
