Aligned with the Coral Triangle Initiative on Coral Reefs, Fisheries, and Food Security (CTI) National Plan of Action (NPOA) of Indonesia on coastal resources management and building on the lessons learned from, and knowledge created in COREMAP
1 and 2, a scaling-up investment program will be developed for Coastal Marine Resources Managment that will include coral reef rehabilitation and management.
The objective of the Coral Reef Rehabilitation and Management Program - Coral Triangle Initiative (COREMAP
-CTI) Project for Indonesia is to institutionalize the COREMAP
approach of a viable, decentralized and integrated framework for sustainable management of coral reef resources, associated eco-systems and bio-diversity for the welfare of the communities in seven selected districts of five provinces in the country.
