USDA Crop Residue Management Action Plan (CRMAP) was developed to assist USDA customers in implementation of their conservation plans as a result of the 1985 and 1990 Farm Bills.
Implementation of the ideas and suggestions from the farmer focus groups is the aim of CRMAP. It brings together USDA agencies that have responsibility to educate, administer programs, and provide technical assistance to its clients.
The agencies involved in CRMAP, as well as the members of the National Crop Residue Management Alliance, feel this coordinated alliance is landmark because it brings together the key entities involved in agriculture.
