Kathmandu [Nepal], May 29 ( ANI ): Nepal Finance Minister Yubaraj Khatiwada, said the government of Nepal has decided to construct the 750 MW hydel project on its own scrapping the agreement with the China Three Gorges Corporation (CTGC).
Masood khan said that CTGC had brought about a breakthrough in hydropower generation by building a dam magnitude of 22500 MW in Three Gorges in China.
He further assured that the AJ and K Government will facilitate CTGC in any manner for the satisfactory completion of the projects.
The CTGC said the Kohala project is its largest investment in the Pakistani hydropower market.
A Pakistani government supporting letter for the project was issued last week, CTGC said.
For the third consecutive year, CTGC will host Party for Pink to benefit the Pink Fund on May 31, 2013 at the Navesink Country Club.
"The ratings also reflect additional headroom in CTGC's consolidated credit profile to finance the ongoing greenfield hydro power development and construction on the lower course of the Jinsha River," Wong added.

The hydropower project, which is expected to be completed in an investment of 1.60 billion Nepali rupees, will have 65 percent investments from the CTGC, 25 percent from the National Electricity Authority (NEA) and the 10 percent investments from the locals as share, as per the plans made before.
