Finally, three additional CVAMC wound-care nurses outside the study team independently reviewed the wound assessment form and chose a subset of description categories they viewed as critical for accurate wound assessment.
The three additional CVAMC wound-care nurses identified 11 of these categories, specifically the 11 categories included under the length and width measurements, drainage, and wound-bed description, as critical description categories.
