Under the contract, public safety interoperable communications services will be provided to the 11 California counties that consist of the California Statewide Interoperability Executive Committee's (CALSIEC) Southern Planning Area (SPA) and work that begins in the third quarter of 2010 and will be completed by February 2011, the company said.
GTSI provides a Technology Lifecycle Management ("TLM") approach to IT infrastructure solutions, while SPA serves as an extension of CALSIEC that manages the state and federally designated interoperability spectrum, developing governance and plans for all public safety first responders in California.
