Antinuclear antibodies and anti-double stranded DNA were negative; the serum lactate, pyruvate, complement 3, complement 4, perinuclear antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibody, cytoplasmic antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibody, and thyroid function tests were normal.
