Earlier, Bahrain interior ministry said three police personnel died in a terror blast in Daih while police were dispersing rioters.
For Mohammad, a resident of Daih, the village where the teenager was killed, the clashes on the second anniversary of the unrest that divided the country were "a bitter testament to a physical and psychological fissure that is now cruelly revealing that overcoming the crisis was a truly formidable task."

Earlier in the day, the supreme criminal court of Bahrain sentenced three people to death and seven others to life in prison after convicting them of killing three policemen in Daih last year.
"A terrorist act targeted the lives of policemen who were on duty in the village of Daih, using a homemade bomb that injured one security man," the ministry said.
