This year alone Palestinian farmers are expected to plant up to 140,000 new trees, said Ibrahim Daiq
, head of the Palestinian Farmers' Union.
Minister of Agriculture Saeed Masri and his Palestinian counterpart Ismail Daiq
on Wednesday inked a range of agricultural memoranda of understanding (MoUs) aimed to facilitate entry of Palestinian agricultural crops to Jordan, exchange relevant technical expertise in agricultural research fields, protect livestock and launch a joint quarantine regime.
Agriculture Minister Ismail Daiq
said, "We plant more trees, as they signify the people's link to their land and the adherence to their identity."
