This article describes the challenges that McNair scholars face and provides recommendations for developing a coordinated planning system similar to the one that currently exists in UT-Austin's DDCE, which integrates the university's Intellectual Entrepreneurship Consortium and the McNair program--a collaboration that is beginning to address these challenges, thus offering insights for other universities.
