ECCSA was initiated in response to a call to action by the European Commission and aviation stakeholders and is supported by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).
In its first 24 months, ECCSA established governance and methodologies for the secure sharing of information on this sensitive topic, taking account of the different operating constraints of the various types of participating organisations.
In addition, ECCSA offers feeds of relevant daily news for the aviation community and the general public.
