With launch of the EU-SL Investor Dialogue today (Tuesday 9th July), the ECCSL will play a catalyst role in investment promotion with the support of the Board of Investment.
THonhe ECCSL and the key stakeholders are of the view that the Ministry of Investment Promotion and the Board of Investment (BOI) play a vital role, not only in attracting foreign investment to Sri Lanka, but also in retaining the foreign investment already present in the country.
The ECCSL is positive that its initiative would facilitate the European investors in numerous ways to explore the possibilities to invest in Sri Lanka, and it hopes to expand its services towards contributing to Sri Lanka's investment and business environment.
She encouraged the participants of the seminar to collaborate with Sri Lankan enterprises for mutual benefit, and said FIT would work closely with the ECCSL to support such efforts.
Dilipan Tyagarajah, President of ECCSL said, the Chamber was established 15 years ago shifting from the country based bi-lateral chambers, to an EU level body.
