The CDWP approved seven projects worth Rs10bn and recommended six mega projects worth Rs132.5bn to Ecnec. It recommended the Karachi Urban Mobility project also known as Yellow BRT Corridor worth Rs56bn to Ecnec for approval.

The approval came from the weekly Ecnec meeting held at the NEC conference room with Ecnec Chairperson and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair.
Adviser to the Prime Minister on Finance and Revenue, Dr Abdul Hafeez Sheikh, who chaired ECNEC meeting, directed that the Ministry of Law might be requested to give its opinion in a week's time to save the project from further delay.
ECNEC also considered and approved the 'Engineering Procurement and Construction of Balakot Hydropower project, Manshera Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at the updated cost of Rs 85,912.926 million with the FEC of Rs 35,049.714 million.
ECNEC considered and approved Dasu hydropower project (stage 1) Revision of cost for land acquisition and built up of property, subject to opinion of the Law Ministry on the revision of cost of land and built up property after imposition of section 4 of Land acquisition Act of 1894.
Overall CDWP accorded approval of two projects worth Rs 913 million and recommended three projects costing Rs 96 billion to ECNEC. However, concept clearance was also granted for two environment related projects for negotiations with the donors.
The CDWP recommends all those projects that have a higher cost to Ecnec for final approval.
