Second, as a result of relationships between EEAW
and the Washington State Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI), a half-time program coordinator position was reinstated for environmental education, which is now called the Environmental and Sustainability Education Program.
More specifically, the value of a state of affairs is the sum of what Feldman calls aggregate desert adjusted welfare (ADAW) and equality adjusted aggregate welfare (EEAW): the value of a state of affairs equals ADAW + EEAW.
Now one might surely quibble with Feldman's numbers--with the numerical value he assigns to the fit between desert and receipt when calculating DAWs, and with his choice for the values of E in calculating EEAWs. However, even if the values he chooses are granted, Feldman's analysis fails to capture Kagan's intuition.
