EMM[S.sub.2] medium was similar to EIML medium, but it also contained 0.05 mg [L.sup.-1] NAA, 0.05 mg [L.sup.-1] kinetin, 2 g [L.sup.-1] Gelrite, and 0.75 g [L.sup.-1] Mg[Cl.sub.2] (pH 5.8).
