The fitness of entomopathogenic nematodes (EPN) as biological control agents of specific target insects depends on their level of infectivity and reproductive capacity.
Aside from that, as of the end of the first half of 2018, the DOE is still evaluating whether to certify 46 projects as EPNS. Such portfolio include 22 renewable energy projects, 12 coal projects, 11 oil and gas projects and one transmission project.
The EPNs isolates used in this work were obtained by the Universidade Federal de Lavras (UFLA), MG, Embrapa, Trigo, RS, and the Instituto Biologico de Campinas, SP, Brazil.
Another alternative to the chemical control of pests is the use of EPNs that works as competent pathogens (entomo -pathogenic nematodes).
Steinernema feltiae appeared as the dominating species (11 samples = 20.4%) among all the isolated EPNs. It was most often isolated in spring (7 samples) from the fields.
Because EPNs were designed to describe experiences with clinical care as seen through the patient's own eyes, the key methodological consideration we established for assessing quality of elicited data is how it measures up to a full account from that same patient.
Keeping in view the importance of the biological control, it was planned to investigate the biological control of root-knot nematodes through EPNs.
They were mass-produced in base metal, EPNS and tinplate, the latter used by shops and businesses to carry advertisements.
