Earlier on Wednesday, Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry arrived in Khartoum among a delegation of Egyptian ministers and top security and intelligence officials who will take part in the preparatory ministerial meeting of the ESHC.
The ESHC aims to enhance bilateral cooperation in distinct fields, according to Egypt's Foreign Ministry's statement.
At the end of the ESHC meeting, the two countries signed 12 agreements including the implementation of electricity linkage projects and railways, as well as memorandums of understanding on trade, education, migration, development and media.
Also, following the ESHC meeting, al-Bashir decided to allow the importation of several Egyptian goods, putting an end to a ban imposed two years ago.
In a meeting held on the sidelines of the China-Africa Cooperation Forum (FOCAC) in Beijing Sunday, Al-Bashir and al-Sisi said the implementation matrix would be approved in the ESHC
meeting in Khartoum.
Last June, Egyptian Ambassador to Khartoum Osama Shaltout said the ESHC
would meet in October in Khartoum, pointing out that the meeting would be chaired by presidents Omer al-Bashir and Abdel-Fatah al-Sisi.

In his address before the ESHC
summit meeting, al-Bashir said nobody could downplay the significant role played by Saudi Arabia, underscoring that "stability and security of the Kingdom is our collective responsibility".

) in Cairo from 5 to 6 October.
