These concepts contrast the traditional ETIB, in which island biotas are shaped over millions of years by the slow processes of cladogenesis and extinction.
BEIRUT: Spanish Ambassador Juan Carlos Gafo, visited on Tuesday Saint Joseph University's (USJ) School of Translators and Interpreters of Beirut (ETIB) accompanied by the Spanish Consul, Rafael Reig, and in presence of USJ's Vice Rector for International Relations, Antoine Hokayem, the Faculty of Human Sciences Dean Jarjoura Hardan, ETIB's Director, Henri Awaiss, and the professor at the Autonomous University of Madrid, Gonzalo Fernandez Parrilla.The visit discussed the ways to further strengthen links with the Spanish Embassy and deepen the dissemination and expansion of the Spanish language and culture courses.
In addition, I assessed the importance of host body size and abundance on ectoparasite biodiversity (e.g., abundance, richness, and diversity) within the context of ETIB, and provided a synthetic discussion concerning the effect of host traits on ectoparasite assemblages.
