Germany, France and Italy were the top three countries in terms of sales for ETRMA members.
A breakout session on "Sustainable development" will be moderated by Fazilet Cinaralp of ETRMA. As the world increases momentum towards sustainability and corporate social responsibility, all players in the industry value chain are said to be rapidly focusing their attention on what this means to them and what impact it is likely to have on their business.
ETRMA reported third quarter sales of auto tires were 58.4 million units compared to 57.6 million units for the same period of 2013.
Fazilet Cinaralp, secretary general of ETRMA, stated, "The stabilization of the market on a positive trend is very good news, which makes us hope for positive end of year results after such a grim 2012 and 2013.
The European Tyre and Rubber Manufacturers Association said compared to the very slow start of 2013, ETRMA members experienced double digit growth in almost all tire segments during the first quarter of this year.
