EVW allows business travellers and tourists from the UAE, Oman and Qatar to visit the UK for up to six months without a visa.
"The Embassy is aware of some limited instances where travellers have been prevented from travel because they have not completed their EVW form correctly," a UK Embassy spokesperson told Gulf News yesterday in a emailed statement.
Already 1,948 Emiratis, 1,369 Omanis and 2,184 Qataris have completed an EVW. However, some customers are not yet familiar with how to complete an EVW form correctly.
The British Embassy in Abu Dhabi said so far 170 Emiratis had completed an EVW. With an EVW there is no requirement to provide biometrics, attend a visa application centre or hand in passports prior to travel.
The introduction of the service will allow Emiratis to apply for an EVW online and free of charge without having to go to a visa application centre or hand in passports prior to travel.
The EVW will be available for visits of up to six months.
They include emergency electronic brake light warning (EEBL), emergency vehicle warning (EVW), in-vehicle signage (IVS) for road works warning (RWW) and traffic condition warning (TCW).
