The Jebel Ali Free Zone, or Jafza, the flagship Free Zone operation of Economic Zones World, or EZW, had its Jafza pavilion at the recent The Big 5, aimed at garnering more focused exposure to the free zone's companies.
Managed by the Jebel Ali Free Zone Authority (Jafza), the flagship company of EZW, the DFZ is a gateway to East Africa and one of the single most important strategic logistics hubs to provide access to strategic markets in East and Central Africa and beyond, the statement said.
Jafza, Al Janahi said, had became an integral part of the ambitious Dubai Logistics Corridor when EZW collaborated with Dubai Aviation City Corporation (DACC) in 2009 over the creation and implementation of the project.
In July this year, EZW won the 3rd position out of around 100 GCC organizations in the "Employer of the Year Award 2009" category.
EZW's current portfolio includes its flagship, Jafza, one of the world's largest free zones; Gazeley, a global developer of highly efficient, carbon positive logistics and industrial spaces; TechnoPark, a research driven business and industrial park, and Dubai Auto Zone, a comprehensive market place for the Auto industry.
The EZW team is looking at ways to do exactly that.
Economic Zones World (EZW) has signed a deal to retrofit DEWA's Etihad ESCO existing buildings and facilities to make them more energy efficient.
Economic Zones World, or EZW, has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority's Etihad Esco to retrofit its existing buildings and facilities to make them more energy efficient.
Talal Al Hashimi, chief operations officer of Economic Zones World (EZW), the parent company of Jafza, commented: "The construction sector in the region is quite resilient despite challenging market conditions.
"We are pleased to announce a strong set of results for the first six months of 2015, reporting earnings growth of 22% year on year, aided by the acquisition of EZW. This financial performance has been achieved despite uncertain market conditions, which once again demonstrates the well diversified and resilient nature of our portfolio," said DP World Chairman Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem.
