Edge density is defined as edge [mathematical expression not reproducible].
The landscape structure in variant V1 is characterised by patches with concentrated and regular shapes, which is revealed by the lowest value of edge density (ED).
On the basis of this, the edge density is defined as the proportion of the number of edge pixels in the total number of pixels in a frame.
We define edge density of each edge [e.sub.ij] in E as follows:
Once binary edge map of the Bayer CFA is obtained by the Canny operator, we obtain the edge density of each pixel C(i, j), which is calculated by
For adult females, the best model included the terms for forest edge density, agriculture to forest ratio, and season (Table 3).
(2) Edge Density. Edge density can show the concentration of features in the original image.
In the remaining municipalities, we computed the municipality-level seroprevalence rate and studied the effects, on this seroprevalence rate, of the following municipality-level covariates: 1) the department, included as a proxy for the municipality relative location in the epizootic wave; 2) the spatial density of cows (number of animals per [km.sup.2]), of sheep flocks, and of goat flocks (number of flocks per [km.sup.2]); 3) the existence of confirmed clinical cases reported in the municipality in 2007 (binary variable); 4) the proportion of municipality area covered by each land cover class; and 5) the edge density for each pair of land cover classes.
Calculating a landscape fragmentation measure such as edge density requires data at a fine enough spatial resolution to measure the extent of the interface between agricultural and other land uses.
We selected 2 indices to measure edge (the length of the interface) between habitat types (ED: edge density, perimeter of all habitat patches per unit area [m / ha]; CWED: contrast-weighted edge density, edge between FOOD&COVER and COVER stands [m / ha; weights: FOOD&COVER versus COVER = 1: other edges = 0]).
8b/10b encodes raw data into a 10-bit character, which has guaranteed edge density (30 percent on average) and limited run length (5 bits maximum) which makes the CDR easier to design.
In order to avoid the edge density in the JND model affected by the watermark embedding and to measure the edge density more accurately, a new edge density calculation method by using the un-watermarked AC coefficients is proposed.
