Collision Reconstruction Methodologies; Volume 8: Error Analysis and Uncertainty in Accident Reconstruction
One of the methods used in method assessment is error analysis. There are very many measures of fit for error analysis; in our study, we have applied the root mean square error (RMSE) and the mean absolute error (MAE).
Error analysis has been defined (Brown, 1980) as a process of observing analyzing and classifying the deviation from the rules of L2 and then revealing the systems with which learners operate.
The judges determined the claims are covered by the appeal waiver and found "no colorable claim of constitutional error." Cohenalso challengedwhether there were facts to support applying an enhanced 15-year sentence for making a false statement to an insurance regulator. The 4th Circuit again used a plain error analysis and found none because the sentencing judge could have apportioned the sentence differently within the maximum available and gotten the same result.
Errors started to be investigated through Error Analysis (EA), a specific type of linguistic analysis, which emerged as a reaction to Contrastive Analysis (CA), and offered a broader range of possible explanations for errors beyond L1 interference.
Error Analysis. Error analysis is also performed by obtaining mean percentage error (ME), standard deviation (SD), coefficient of determination ([R.sup.2]), mean absolute error (MAE), root mean square error (RMSE), and mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) [26, 27].
In Figure 3, (a) displays a fusion trajectory of three different LRF sensors' information trajectories, in which the red solid line represents true trajectory and the blue dash dotted line indicates fusion trajectory by the proposed algorithms; (b) is sensor 1 trajectory error analysis relative to the mean value, (c) is sensor 2 trajectory error analysis, and (d) is sensor 3 trajectory error analysis, in which each red line represents the mean value, respectively.
