Europrop International GmbH (EPI) has secured a contract to support the TP400s engines powering Malaysia's A400M military aircraft.
The Spanish Military Aircraft Accident Technical Investigation Committee showed that power setting problems affecting three of the A400M's Europrop International TP400-D6 engines led to the crash.
In May, a Europrop International TP400-D6 engine on one of the aircraft shut down while airborne.
ACTANO's customers include Airbus, BMW, Bosch, Daimler, Europrop International, IAV, GETRAG FORD Transmissions, General Motors, Hatz Motorenfabrik, Hella, Huf, Kinshofer, Komax, Kostal, KUKA, Leobersdorfer Maschinenfabrik LMF, Manz, Marquardt, Mitsubishi, MTU Aero Engines, Osram, Rolls-Royce Deutschland, Sitech, ThyssenKrupp Presta, Voith Turbo, Volkswagen, Vredestein, ZF Getriebe, and ZF Lenksysteme.
Europrop International, in which Rolls-Royce is a partner, announced a major milestone on the path to the first flight of the Airbus A400M military transport aircraft with the clearance of the aircraft's TP400 engines for taxi trials.
The A400M is to be powered by four 11,000shp TP400-D6 turboprops made by the Europrop International consortium, which includes Rolls-Royce, Snecma and MTU.
Powered by 8,200-kW Europrop International TP400s turning eight-blade propellers, the A400M can carry a 20-tonne load for 6,400 km.
Additionally the Voyager s engines are produced in the UK by Rolls-Royce, which is also a member of the Europrop International consortium that produces the A400M s TP400 engines.
AEROENGINE maker Europrop International has delivered four flight test engines which will power the first Airbus A400M military aircraft.
Driven by its four TP400 turboprop engines, assembled in Munich by MTU Aero Engines - a member of the Europrop International consortium which manufactures the powerplants - the aircraft taxied forwards and in reverse and performed a series of tight turns.
