Now that I have training in completing FBAs, I have begun an FBA on two students in my classroom.

Questions have been raised in the literature regarding the ability of school personnel to conduct FBAs with sufficient fidelity to be successful in changing pupil behavior (e.g., Cone, 1997; Crone, Hawken, & Bergtstrom, 2007; Gresham, Quinn, & Restori, 1999).
The program follows a typical model of instruction, in which trainers model the process to provide initial exposure, then use guided training to provide ongoing support when personnel complete FBAs and support planning with actual students (Crone, Hawken, & Bergstrom, 2006).

FBAs have become a more common practice in the schools because federal law now requires FBAs to be conducted when a change in placement is being considered for a child with an identified disability when significant behavioral problems are interfering with obtaining educational services in a child's present placement.
The training of psychologists and teachers around the creation and use of FBAs and BIPs was also not collected in this study.
To comply with the legislation, school districts throughout the country were forced to establish FBA procedures and identify or prepare personnel who could conduct FBAs and prescribe behavioral support plans based on those assessments.
Since 2000 the Government has invested nearly pounds 32m in FBAS, helping around 15,000 farmers.

If it is determined that the behaviors are a manifestation of the disability the concept mapping process will also be used to develop FBAs and BIPs.
Included in this issue are conceptual and discussion papers, as well as demonstrations of interventions based on the results of FBAs. The authors of these papers were invited to submit manuscripts to the editor for publication in this issue.
