FISCPS Manchester Fuel Department's Bob Cairns and Glenn Schmitt, along with Naval Facilities Engineering Command Northwest's Michael Tucker, and GeoEngineers Wayne Wright accepted the Fiscal Year 2006 Chief of Naval Operations Environmental Quality Award for Industrial Installations and the Fiscal Year 2006 Secretary of the Navy Environmental Quality Award recently in the Navy Heritage Center in Washington, D.C.
Penn recognized FISCPS' Manchester Fuel Department by visiting the facility and personally viewing the innovations, which have made Manchester a jewel in the Northwest.
This year the judging was provided by former Seattle Mariner's third baseman Edgar Martinez, local comedian Cris Larsen, Nestle Chef Ron Coneybeer, and FISCPS
