He appreciated the services of Dr Inayatullah Padhiar, currently on the FJDC
faculty supervising research and medical ethics, who recently received the Sitara-i-Imtiaz award, and described him as the uniting force among all groups of dentists.

Saqib also mentioned that FJDC
's Pre-BDS Professional Program was initiated in 2005 with the purpose to provide needed guidance to students wishing to pursue professional careers as dentists.
Dr Askary also FJDC Director Academics and Administration said 4.9% country's population is inflicted with hepatitis C and 2.4% for hepatitis B, besides those who at one or the other point of time had been exposed to Hepatitis A and E.
FJDC Director for Academics said that Fatima Jinnah Dental College and Hospital has chalked out a month long series of activities to raise public awareness about prevention and early diagnosis for treatment of Hepatitis.
He was happy to note the tremendous progress made by FJDC over the years.

FJDC observed Tobacco Control Week to marked World No Tobacco Day, which is celebrated globally every year on May 31.
Professor Dr Naveed Rashid, President Pakistan Dental Association Karachi, professor Dr Tasleem Hossein, Principal, FJDC and Dr Gulrukh Askary, head of Oral Pathology, FJDC, also showed keen interest in the activities.
