Thin-section 3D fast recovery, fast spin-echo (FRFSE) long echo time (TE), fat-suppressed coronal images can be acquired as an abbreviated MR cholangiopancreatography (MRCP) to improve the detection of ductal abnormalities and to determine if lesions communicate with the pancreatic duct (such as intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms and pseudocysts).
