FSEC, a research institute of the University of Central Florida, was created by the Florida Legislature in 1975 to serve as the state's energy research institute.
A variation in
FSEC is explained by variations in: initial per capita GDP; the average years of secondary schooling of the male and female population and; initial income inequality (INEQ).

This reorganization greatly assisted CIOC efforts in identifying the daily OPTEMPO product requirements in concert with STRATOPS, STRATEFF and the Force Strategic Engagement Cell (
FSEC), establishing the "core" of required SMEs, journeymen, and novices to focus on the problem sets, and mitigating the loss of fully trained analysts due to tour rotations.

EnergyGauge (
FSEC 2005) and VisualDOE (Eley 2005) provide a Windows-based entry so the user does not have to decipher the DOE-2.1E text file.
The Florida Solar Energy Center (
FSEC) recently announced it has been awarded more than $15 million from the Department of Energy (DOE) over a five-year period to conduct research in three major energy areas, including fuel cells.
"All activities are hands-on, built on investigations, so students learn by doing," says Penny Hall of the
FSEC's education department.
The program combines state funding with private partnership to provide clean energy and science education, and provides secondary school students with tools to study photovoltaic systems with a curriculum administered by the Florida Solar Education Center (
FSEC).

Scientists at the Florida Solar Energy Center (
FSEC), a research institute of the University of Central Florida in Cocoa, FL, performed a similar study on residential dwellings.
After five years of research, Danny Parker, at the Florida Solar Energy Center (
FSEC) developed "The Gossamer Wind" ceiling fan, a high-efficiency fan that uses less electricity to move more air than traditional fans.
